I tried to warn you about the Cincinnati Bengals the last couple of weeks as they drifted as a +2000 bet or better. Now they’re starting to make a push back into the AFC picture having won three consecutive games and four of their last five. They’ll face tough challenges in weeks 9 and 11 when they face the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, respectively. But as of Tuesday morning, the Bengals rank fifth among AFC teams in the Super Bowl odds.

Time to take Seattle seriously?

Don’t look now, but the Seattle Seahawks lead the NFC West. Oddsmakers aren’t buying into the Seahawks winning the division yet, though, meaning they’re still down the list to win the Super Bowl (+3000 as of Tuesday morning). They’re essentially the first team after the pack of more legitimate contenders. They face the Ravens in Week 9 after acquiring defensive tackle Leonard Williams in a trade with the New York Giants.
