Gisele Yoko Bundchen is also hated by the Patriots WAGs
I am not a sports person. I am a celebrity-gossip person. I will sit with you and talk about C-list celebrity famewhores for literally HOURS. If you try to talk to me about sports, my eyes will glaze over and I’ll start daydreaming about kittens. I’m just putting that out there, because I think my anti-sports bias is affecting the way I’m reacting to the ongoing Gisele Bundchen controversy.
To recap, shortly after the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl, Gisele was walking with friends and she got heckled by a Giants fan. Gisele lost her temper, and she said to her friend,“You have to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball… My husband can not f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.” She was caught on camera making this aside to a friend, and it’s debatable as to whether Gisele cared that the camera caught her words. What’s clear is that in Gisele’s mind, her husband’s teammates were the ones who screwed up, not Tom. It was a bitchy thing for Gis to say, but in the grand scheme of dumb, sanctimonious, Goop-tastic crap that has come out of Gisele’s mouth, her Super Bowl comments didn’t even make my top ten.
Now, hours after Gisele made those comments, someone Patriots-related leaked to TMZ that Tom’s teammates “felt betrayed” by Gisele. And more people are starting to line up to complain about Gis.
Gisele Bundchen’s angry dissing of hubby Tom Brady’s New England Patriots teammates — as she exited the Super Bowl on Sunday night — has unveiled long-held negative feelings about the supermodel.
Other players’ wives and members of the Patriots’ organization gave me an earful Monday as Bundchen’s comments went viral.
Reportedly egged on by a New York Giants fan who made a mocking remark to Bundchen on her way out of Lucas Oil Stadium, the Brazilian beauty said, “My husband cannot f – – – – – – throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
A veteran team staffer said: “Gisele may have had a point, but she should have left it to the sportswriters and other Monday morning quarterbacks. . . . She already is not liked by many players and their wives due to her arrogant attitude. . . . This sure won’t help improve things.”
Proof of that came from the wife of a Brady teammate who told me Monday, “Gisele has very few friends among the wives. Of course, many are jealous of her looks and all that, but she doesn’t make it easy to like her — since she obviously feels so superior to all of us.”
Another source — close to a lot of the Patriots’ wives — told me, “Gisele is . . . so stuck up and treats them all like yahoos. . . . In many cases, the other wives are not all that sophisticated, but Gisele has been openly snotty to several of them — making cracks about how they dress and use too much makeup. Stuff like that.”
Apparently, when Brady himself heard about his wife’s crack, he hit the ceiling — realizing how awkward that comment would make it for him to deal with his fellow Patriots.

I’ve referred to Gisele as “The Brazilian Gwyneth” before, but Goop’s bad press is never THIS bad. Usually when peasants line up to tell stories about Gwyneth, it’s surprisingly nice. Why is Gisele so hated? Is it because she’s really not a nice person? Is it jealousy? I don’t know.
It’s gotten so bad that reporters are now asking GIANTS what they think about Gis’s comments. Osi Umenyiora told reporters, “I mean, that is her husband. She is supposed to stay out of things like that but at the end of the day, that is their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.” When Osi was asked if a teammate should have to apologize for a mouthy wife, he said, “Nah, she shouldn’t. Listen man, we just won the Super Bowl. We are not saying nothing about no one, whatever her name is.” Whatever her name is! Take that, Gis. However, Giant Brandon Jacobs told reporters, “She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up.” Ugh. That quote makes me Team Gis.
Oh, and people are starting to refer to Gisele as Yoko – I mean, I guess that just started recently? Gisele is the “Yoko” of the Pats? That one might fit, actually. And even though the video of Gis’s dis got played on a loop, there’s also video of her telling Tom after the game, “You played the best game of your life … you were amazing.”
Is it wrong that I still think this a tempest in a teapot? Yeah, it sucks for Tom and his relationship with his teammates, but why is everyone else getting so upset about it?
